Productive Work Habits for Faculty and Staff

In todays’ fast-paced and complex business world, learning to as Stephen Covey puts it: “sharpen the saw” as it relates to continued development, gives employees a critical workplace advantage in reducing stress and improving efficiency. Come join UMBC faculty and staff colleagues in learning techniques, strategies, and tools that have the ability to enhance your personal and professional effectiveness and skyrocket productivity.
This pair of workshops, co-taught by Beth Wells, Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Lisa Drouillard, Director of Payroll, includes a variety of approaches to maximizing your time management for enhanced satisfaction and success in personal and professional endeavors. Participants will learn and practice effective goal-setting and learn essential skills for setting and managing priorities. Skills will be honed with a simple, practical homework assignment at the end of session one. Participants will learn about the role of planning in time management, as well as practical, easy-to-use tools and strategies for managing email and paper in ways that support reaching your goals. Registration includes both sessions, March 30 and April 13, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Please add both dates to your Google calendars.
