The documentary Miss Representation explores how the media’s
misrepresentation of women has led to the underrepresentation of women
in positions of power and influence in the United States. It
premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and was aired on OWN
network once in October and November and has ignited a national
movement to fight the stereotypes of women in the media.
