ADWA: An African Victory

The event will feature the film, "ADWA" by renowned Ethiopian film maker Haile Gerima.
In addition, there will be cultural performances and tributes from various ethnic groups, traditional Rastafari Nyah Binghi/African Drumming, and a brief panel discussion, which will include Haile Gerima, Attorney at Law George Rose from the Rose Law Firm in Baltimore and a presentation from Dr. Jake Homiak of the Smithsonian Institute.
The issues of Ethiopia's contributuion to African American empowerment and the legalities of ADWA will be addressed in the panel discussion.
