Volunteer for STEM Fair
STEM Fair at Featherbed Lane Elementary with Lockeed Martin
Volunteers Needed
Featherbed Lane Elementary School is conducting their annual STEM Fair from 9 am – 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
Volunteers are needed to serve as judges for ~185 projects that have been submitted by 4th and 5th Graders.
The students are very excited to have Lockheed Martin representatives and local UMBC engineering students to come to their school for the third year in a row to judge their projects.
Never served as a judge before?
No problem. A brief overview of the judging process and expectations will be provided by the school’s STEM teacher, Ms. Meekins, prior to the start of the event.
We need at least 30 volunteers to ensure that we provide coverage for the judging of student projects which will also include a brief interview with the student.
As with past volunteer opportunities, we understand that your availability may be limited. Therefore, if you are able to help out for only an hour so please let us know.
If you would like to participate in this worthwhile volunteer activity, please send me your name and contact information to umbcswe@gmail.com by 11:59pm on 4/6 (Wed)
