About the Leadershop: Relaxing is Resistance: Preventing stress and burn-out is a critical component when it comes to being a powerful leader. This Leadershop discusses why you should often value self-care, and why it’s okay to sometimes take a step back and enjoy what makes you happy; even if that includes things like social media!
Ice-Breaker: Are you a talker or a listener? Although I’d argue both, I’d say I’m much more of a talker! I’m used to giving advice to my friends and providing comfort through words. However, I’ve learned that some people don’t appreciate this style of communication, and would prefer me to listen more. I hope to improve my listening skills more!
The Leadershops series consists of 1 hour workshops that focus on various student centered leadership-related topics facilitated by Campus Life staff and Leadership Peer Facilitators. This program aims to contribute to the leadership development and ongoing learning of UMBC undergraduate students.
