Shine a Light on Slavery Day: Art for Freedom
Thursday, February 25, 2016 · 5 - 7 PM
To take action about the truth of human trafficking, we are creating works of art to raise money for The Samaritan Women: a Baltimore-based home for adult female survivors of domestic human trafficking. We will be selling the works on the Breezeway the following day, as well as posting them online to spread awareness about human trafficking and try to sell any remaining works.
We are supplying as many materials as we can, but if you are willing to contribute any materials to create with or on that you would like to bring, that would be wonderful! Let's use artistic talent to express the voices those who are silenced by modern-day slavery.
"Shine a Light on Slavery" a day created by the End It Movement (http://enditmovement.com/) to spread awareness about human trafficking.
