IMPORTANT
Info session with science editor at The Conversation
Learn how you can share your work with the public
Friday, April 14, 2023 · 11 AM - 12 PM
(Canceled)
The Conversation is a valuable outlet for UMBC faculty and graduate students to share
their expertise with the public, gain practice in communicating with a
broad audience, and increase visibility for their work. For faculty who
are curious about opportunities with The Conversation, there
will be an online information session at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 14.
Science
editor Vivian Lam from The Conversation will present about the types of
opportunities available, faculty will hear from a colleague in CNMS who
has had success working with The Conversation, and there will be plenty
of time for questions -- maybe even on-the-spot pitching if a story idea strikes.
This
session is highly recommended for any faculty member who is working on
increasing their public outreach. It's also a great fit for researchers
who want some support in improving their science communication skills.
Faculty members and graduate students in CNMS are encouraged to attend.
Please
RSVP.
