Welcome to the spring semester! We hope you had a relaxing and restful winter break! We will continue to spread the joy of looking at the Ancient Mediterranean, no matter if you have an ANCS degree or are just looking to become an ancient history enthusiast!
To be in the loop for our semester’s events, meet us at our booth during Involvement Fest on Tuesday the 4th from 1:30-3:30pm. You can also be on the lookout for event details on our myUMBC page as well as our discord. We hope to see you at Involvement Fest!
Here are some of the events we are offering this semester!
February:
Trivia Day (2/26) – Test your knowledge of ancient civilizations and win some prizes!
March
Alea Iacta Est (3/14) – An Ancient Egyptian themed D&D 1-shot tabletop event!
April
Movie Night (4/10) – Brief lecture from an Ancient Studies Faculty member, an ancient themed movie, and pizza!
Trip to D.C. – Join us and the Ancient Studies Department for a day trip to D.C.
May
Scribe School – A professor led event where you’ll learn about Sumerian seals, and make one yourself
