Grad Students: Prepare for Ph.D. Candidacy (Rules & Forms)
A guide to help you to prepare for candidacy this Fall

Dr. Lisa Morgan, Director of Progressions in the Graduate School will go over rules and regulations needed to prepare for Ph.D. candidacy. All of the information is on the website, however, Dr. Morgan will provide the additional service of going over information in person. She will be available to answer questions during this time.
All graduate students who are preparing to transition from being a Ph.D. "student" to a doctoral candidate because you have completed the requisite academic milestones (e.g. qualifying examinations, oral proposal) must fill out the proper forms and follow the policies and procedures that will make the candidacy status official.
Students who are official candidates by October will be recognized at the formal annual Doctoral Candidates Reception on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 5:30 PM.
