Global Brigades FINAL Info Session
What is Global Brigades?
Global Brigades is the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Since 2004, Global Brigades has mobilized tens of thousands of university students and professionals through skill-based programs that work in partnership with community members to improve the quality of life in under resourced regions while respecting local culture.
The Global Brigades Chapter at UMBC is currently offering 5 different 7-9 day brigade programs for this upcoming spring break. The brigade programs will travel to Panama or Nicaragua to address needs in health and economic development. Each program has been developed in conjunction with community members and students to empower community members and leaders, while engaging students to deliver high impact solutions.
This upcoming year, our chapter will be offering brigades for the following programs:
· Human Rights/Microfinance Hybrid Brigade
· Environmental Brigades/Microfinance Hybrid Brigade
