Join your fellow SGA members as we talk about challenges surrounding student spaces on-campus in small groups over Starbucks!
SGA's "Coffee On Us" series is a new initiative aimed at holding discussions around particular topics facing UMBC undergraduates. Once a month, the SGA will hold an event where students can chat over everyone's favorite Starbucks Coffee in small groups. The first 150 participating students may obtain a free $5 voucher to use at Starbucks during the event, courtesy of the SGA.
This month's theme is "Student Spaces On-Campus". With the first fifty years of UMBC now passed, what are the states of student life and student-created spaces on-campus? What does ideal, communal space look like? How are student organizations supported, and how can that support be improved? Is our student union building, The Commons, serving the wide-interests of our student body?
Come chat with us as we delve into these critical topics!
