Friday, April 20, 2018 · 3 - 5 PM
Event description:
CWIT Showcase is an annual event, which consists of short presentations from current Scholars and Affiliates on a variety of topics. Attendees choose which sessions to attend based on interests. The event begins in ITE 456 for an overview and for students to receive an event program, then the sessions take place in various rooms in the ITE Building.
There is no dress code, so casual attire is fine and pizza will be served at the end of the event.
Session topics include:
- Following a career path outside your field of study
- What it's like to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, a huge conference in Houston in September, and how you could get funding to attend
- How undergraduate research can positively impact your college career
- What is human centered computing and how technology can be combined with different disciplines
- And more!
Registration is not required.
