Have you been thinking about visiting DC and some of its wonderful museums, or restaurants in Chinatown? Maybe you're looking forward to seeing the cherry trees bloom along the Tidal Basin this spring during the Cherry Blossom Festival?
As part of its promotion for the Charmpass app, the MTA is offering app users a free 'six pack' of one-way fares on the MARC train service, which can be used for travel any time between now and September 2022. These tickets would cost $48 total out of pocket, so this is an excellent opportunity for savings!
MARC trains run regularly between Baltimore and DC every day of the week, and have two stops near campus: some trains stop at the Halethorpe station, or you can take UMBC transit to the BWI MARC station, which is a busier station and has staff to assist you if you need it.
The promotion ends this Friday night, September 24, so be sure to sign up soon if you are interested!
More information about the program, including how to sign up, is available on the MTA's website: https://www.mta.maryland.gov/charmpass-promotion
