Do you have a child, sibling, nephew/niece, etc. between the ages of 9 and 12?
Who?:
We are looking for healthy 9 to 12 year old children to help us test out games and activities before we try them in hospitals to help sick children.
Children CAN participate if they completed the study last summer, as long as they are within the age range.
What?:
Our activities include a heat test while playing different types of memory games. We want to know if our games are fun, what types of games work the best, and how these activities change the way children experience different sensations.
Where?:
The study takes place at the Pediatric Psychology Lab right here at UMBC.
How long?:
Participation in the study takes a little over an hour. We are currently only able to schedule appointments between 9 and 5 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
After participating, the child will get $10 and a small toy as a thank you!
For children who are not in the UMBC summer camp, we can reimburse parents up to $20 to help cover transportation and parking costs.
If you are interested or have any questions, please email umbcpedspsyc@gmail.com
