It's almost Turkey Day and the Choice Program would love your support!
Help out by donating some Thanksgiving food items for Choice Families....
The Choice Program is a community-based, family-centered case management approach to delinquency prevention and youth development. Focusing on providing support in at-risk environments, Choice empowers youth and engages families through a multitude of services adapted to individual needs.
Each year during the holiday season, Choice Program staff collect non-perishable Thanksgiving food items (i.e. stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies/cake mixes, green beans, etc.), for youth and their families in the greater Baltimore area. Perishable food items can also be dropped off on Monday/Tues (Nov 19-20). Without our assistance, there are a number of Choice families that are unable to afford a Thanksgiving meal.
If you would like to donate some non-perishable items to Choice families, we have placed a box in the Shriver Center. We will be collecting items up until the morning of November 20th. In addition, our UMBC student interns will be working with our UMBC volunteers to collect additional cans and non-perishable items. Gift cards for local grocery stores are also welcome -- no cash donations please!
