The Peer Alumni from Community Colleges (PACC) is a peer network that connects prospective STEM transfer students from AACC, CCBC, HCC, and MC, with current UMBC STEM students who have transferred from these partner community colleges. PACC leaders sponsor programs and events across institutions to provide information and support for both prospective and current transfer students.
As a PACC student, you will have the opportunity to:
*participate in monthly educational and social STEM-focused events and programs; *attend scheduled and/or "drop in" meetings with PACC leaders to discuss peer perspectives on the transfer experience; and *receive referrals to campus resources and tools that can support a positive and timely STEM transfer experience.
PACC is a component of the STEM Transfer Student Success Initiative. This Initiative is an innovative multi-institutional collaboration funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support successful transition to UMBC by students from Anne Arundel Community College, Community College of Baltimore County, Howard Community College and Montgomery College. The Initiative focuses on students who are pursuing fields of study in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
