Wanna make a difference during Spring Break?
week long volunteer service trips designed to challenge students and
combat civic issues underlying larger societal concerns-- such as
homelessness, health care, animal welfare and the environment.
Meet other UMBC students who are concerned about social justice issues, participate in a week long immersion that strives to
actively engage participants in service & reflection and make a difference!
Past Trips Include*:
Gesundheit Institute – work at the Patch Adams clinic and grounds in West Virginia
Animal Welfare – explores several aspects of animal rights and humane treatment of animals.
ARC - serve the mentally and physically disabled population at the Arc of Carroll County.
Environmental – work on and promote sustainable living in urban environments across four counties
Through the Eyes of a Refugee - serve the refugee population of Baltimore County
A Day in the Life - focuses on services needed by people who are homeless in Baltimore City
*The ASB trips are still in the planning stages
so we don't yet know exactly how many and what type of trips we are
offering this year. However, this application will be used to reserve a
spot on one of these trips.
