The Office of Research Protections and Compliance (ORPC) provides a centralized resource to ensure UMBC conducts its research activities in a manner consistent with federal, state and institutional regulatory requirements. ORPC works with the UMBC community to follow the highest ethical standards governing research activities and achieve compliance in areas such as human subjects protection, animal care and use, responsible conduct of research, conflicts of interest, export control, etc.
